László Moholy-Nagy

He was a Hungarian painter ad photographer as well as a professor in the Bauhaus school.
He was influenced by constructive and a strong advocate of the integration of technology and industry into the arts. Moholy-Nagy was able to produce abstract images that only the optics of a camera can produce. He died in 1946.

The light and shadow make me think that there is a light reflection on a water not a glass .

When i see this photo is like a distracting feelings and it is very emotionally .
Discribing an image like that is very difficult because it has different meaning . I see it as an eye or maybe it is like drawing with white color on a black paper.

 Paul Strand
Our assignment about Paul Strand and take pictures the way he did. He was an American photographer and filmmaker . He was born in New York in October 16 1890 .  Strand worked in motion pictures as well as still photography.Strand married the painter Rebecca Salsbury in
1922. He photographed Rebecca Salsbury Strand frequently, sometimes with uncommonly close compositions.

He was focusing on the details of her face.

Most of his work was concentrating on the combination between the black and white . You will never see gray in his photos but you will only see black and white . While taking the photo he  was looking for the sun just  to get his aim which was the shadow.

In this assignment i am going to focus on the shadows because this is my favorite and to have the combination between black and white . I am going to work on stones and taking photos of them on the ground and have their shadows.  Moreover i am going to focus on taking very close photos for plants  to get all the details .

He was focusing in the plant's details while taking the photo. He was very close to it while taking the photo.

 " Photography triangle "

An ISO ( international organization for standardization ) numbers tells how sensitive a film or sensor is to light. The higher the ISO no., the less light is required to produce an image , so you can make pictures in dimmer light. It is set and changed in the shooting setting menu.

the aperture adjusts the amount of light reaching the film or sensor. A large opening allows the most light to pass through the lens. The smallest opening lets in the least amount of light . It is located in the lens.

The shutter opens and closes to control the length of time that light strikes the light . Sensitive surface .
Chasing light

Light is everything in life , we can't live without light. I was chasing the light last Saturday because it was very sunny and nice. The sun shine was everywhere. I was look to light from different situations and different edges. You must read the light and focus where it is coming from. Moreover, while looking to someone who is in a sunny area you should look to him in different direction to see where is the shadow on his/her face and body , it is totally amazing.
